The farmhouse
The listing dates the stone farmhouse to about 1790, and it sits on 43.71 acres in Haycock Township, Bucks County, at the end of a long gated drive. Across the courtyard is a 19th-century bank barn, converted to about 3,119 square feet of living, studio and hobby space.
The farmhouse keeps its thick stone walls, exposed beams, random-width pine floors and deep windowsills, with fireplaces in several rooms. Two bedrooms are on the main level, and the upper level has the primary suite and a finished attic room under exposed rafters and stone. The country kitchen has custom cabinetry and professional-style appliances, and the living and dining rooms open to the gardens.
The barn
The barn kept its original timber framing, an open catwalk and wide-plank floors. The main room rises through the frame and has a kitchen with a butcher-block island. There are two bedrooms, 1.1 baths, a laundry and a loft, and a multi-level deck looks over the cutting and vegetable gardens and the greenhouse.
The land
Bluestone terraces, perennial borders and a pergola for dining outdoors surround the houses. The grounds also include vegetable and flower gardens, a greenhouse with water and electric, and a spring-fed pond with a separate building, covered terrace and outdoor stone fireplace on its bank. A saltwater pool and spa, built in 2018, sit behind an open-air timber cabana. Walking paths run through the woods to about 29 acres of farmland with frontage on Woodbine Road, and about ten acres around the houses are deer-fenced. Lehigh Valley International Airport is about 30 minutes away, and Center City Philadelphia is just over an hour.
