The assessor dates the house to 1958, a single-family of 2,368 square feet on 54,030 square feet of hillside, 1.24 acres at the end of a private drive off Bowmont Drive in Beverly Crest, the canyon district that carries a Beverly Hills post office inside the Los Angeles city line. The deed last changed hands in February 2001. Twenty-five years later, this is its first time back on the market.

The design is attributed to George Foy, and the house argues the case itself: post-and-beam construction, roof planes that float free of the glass line, walls of glass where a hillside house of its decade would have hung siding. Every listing this property has carried, across two brokerages and two decades, has credited Foy, and the 1958 date sits squarely in the years when Los Angeles hillsides were the proving ground for exactly this kind of construction.

Three bedrooms and two and a half baths, with the primary and second bedroom each holding an en suite bath. A stone fireplace anchors the living room, and the glass runs the sightline from that hearth across the terraces into the mature garden, so the lot reads as part of the floor plan. The circular drive at the top of the approach dates to the original owner, who by the house's own lore poured it as a go-kart track for his children.

The house has been comprehensively rebuilt to its 1958 plan rather than around it: the post-and-beam frame, the roof planes, and the glass all kept, the systems and finishes brought current. The record ends where the drive does, at a front door that has not been offered to a buyer in a quarter century.
