$4,800,000The record for No. 345 opens in 1895, when William Prager put up a seven story store and loft building of brick and iron on a lot twenty five feet wide and one hundred deep. The architect went unrecorded. Next door at No. 347, begun the same year for Charles S. Sentell, George F. Pelham drew a near twin, seven stories and four bays, and he came back in 1900 for No. 349, whose cast iron cornice was set with the word Grand. The address then read South Fifth Avenue, the name the street wore from 1870 until it took West Broadway back before the century was out.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission drew the SoHo-Cast Iron Historic District around all of it on August 14, 1973. By then the house had already left commerce behind: 345 West Broadway Corp. was filed with the State on June 19, 1970.
