Roxbury is the Litchfield County town that has drawn writers and artists for decades, Alexander Calder and Arthur Miller among the ones who stayed. Thirty five Schoolhouse Road sits on a quiet country road in the estate part of it, which is the part that has kept its stone walls.

The main house is arranged for one level living: a chic kitchen with custom cabinetry running into the dining room, and a great room anchored by a floor to ceiling wall of glass and a fireplace, opening directly onto a large deck above the grounds.
