45 Douglass Street
A 25-foot-wide single-family house rebuilt as a revivalist in one of Brooklyn's earliest landmarked quarters, where Italianate and Greek Revival rows have set the streetscape since the 1840s. The house is the work of KGBL, the New York design studio known for handcrafted American furniture in fumed oak and silicon bronze, here in partnership with Hajdu Properties. The brick facade is crowned by a solid mahogany cornice built specially for the house, the kind of detail that reads as period but was made by hand for this address.
Five bedrooms, four-plus baths, and the artisan finish work carried from the cornice down through the interiors.
