The record
The deed passed in July 2024, and the listing that carried it counted three bedrooms, two and a half baths, and 1,395 square feet after forty-four days on the market. What is offered now is roughly 2,200 square feet on three finished levels, four or five bedrooms, and the 1948 chalet frame the record has always described: a board-and-batten gable, eaves carried out on shaped brackets, a brick chimney, and a balcony of solid boards pierced with sawn hearts.
Behind that envelope the house is new. Venetian plaster runs across the walls and up over the ceilings, lime wash through the main level, wide-plank white oak underfoot. The first-floor den is finished in oxblood, walls and ceiling alike, above a marble mantel and a hearth of glazed burgundy tile. The sale takes in the vacant parcel next door, bringing the holding to 0.55 of an acre. Riverhead schools, Suffolk County, north shore.
