682 Broadway #2B
Known also as 1 Great Jones Street, the building rose in 1903, a Neo-Classical limestone loft structure built by the J. W. Stevens Building Co. on the southeast corner of Broadway and Great Jones, between Bond and Bleecker. It began life as offices and manufacturing lofts, with a two-story rusticated base, curved corner windows above the eighth floor, and a cast-iron fence along Great Jones that still reads as industrial New York. Ten stories, fifteen residences, deep inside the NoHo Historic District.
This two-bedroom, two-bath loft was formerly a live/work AIR space, and the bones carry it: high ceilings, hardwood throughout, oversized windows with northern and eastern light, and a long entry. The renovation is considered, a windowed galley kitchen with Miele appliances, a marble primary bath, and in-unit laundry.
