The fishermen’s Montauk

Hither Hills was fishing territory before it was anything else, and Sea Roost preserves a few of its last original cottages, built in the 1940s. The property holds a private knoll south of the highway, in the mature green that only decades of planting produce.

Two buildings

The main cottage carries two bedrooms and two baths; a separate artist studio adds a queen bed, kitchenette and full bath, which is what lets the property sleep five without anyone sharing a wall.

The beach

Hither Hills Beach is steps away and stays secluded by Montauk standards. It books by the night on Airbnb, dogs negotiable.
