In the Gwathmey Siegel archive this is the Garey Residence, a 1981 commission on a wooded stream site in Kent: an L of stucco and mahogany holding a cut cylinder of glass, the double-height living room aimed at the water falling across the northeast corner of the land. The name The Falls followed. Benjamin and Donna Rosen bought it in 2002 and added names of their own. Michael Arad, architect of the 9/11 Memorial, designed a single-level bedroom suite and office joined to the house by a glass and stone passage. Deborah Nevins laid out eight acres of meadow and perennial path inside the larger 41. Stephen Sills did the interiors, and an Elyn Zimmerman granite work stands above the falls and sells with the house. The tennis court and pool sit apart in the trees, and the drive ends on a gravel court at the front door.
